The Confident Girls Foundation is a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee and a registered charity under the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Supported by Netball Australia as its sole member, the Foundation is committed to driving long-term sustainability, creating meaningful social impact, and aligning with netball’s community-focused strategies and priorities.
We work collaboratively with Netball Australia’s Member Organisations, Suncorp Super Netball Clubs, and the Australian Netball Players’ Association to advance shared goals and create positive social change.
Through our partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation, all donations to the Confident Girls Foundation are tax-deductible and directly support our mission to empower women and girls through sport.
Board
Committed to strong corporate governance, the Foundation adheres to ACNC standards. Our Board plays a key role in setting strategic direction, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance, and overseeing management. Policies approved by the Board guide our operations, while a delegated authority framework outlines decision-making responsibilities and financial thresholds.
The Board consists of five Directors, including the Chair, who volunteer their time and expertise. While Directors are not remunerated, they are reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred during Board-related activities. Each Director brings independent judgment, promotes open discussion, and upholds confidentiality as outlined in our Governance Principles Policy.

Ambassadors
The Confident Girls Foundation Ambassadors are a passionate group of athletes and role models who use their platforms to inspire confidence, resilience, and empowerment in girls and young women across Australia. Each Ambassador brings a unique set of skills and experiences which support the Foundation and its purpose, helping to create lasting impact within communities. Through their involvement in community programs, school visits, and advocacy campaigns, the ambassadors help to break down barriers and create opportunities for participation in sport, leadership, and education. They have overcome their own challenges and encourage girls to believe in their potential both on and off the court. Together, they play a vital role in amplifying the Foundation’s mission to build a generation of confident girls and strong communities.
